Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry staff will soon be traveling across the state to present the State Chamber’s 2018 legislative forums.
The State Chamber has been conducting these legislative forums with local chambers of commerce for more than 30 years. These forums are used to gather business leader inputs on important topics while sharing information about recent state legislation and developments impacting the business community as a whole.
And Columbus will be one of 30 communities visited through late October. It will be held at the Columbus Area Chamber, Tuesday, September 18th from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. Lunch included, cost to be determined.
This year, the State Chamber will examine key business-related bills from the Nebraska Legislature 2018 session, as well as issues awaiting state lawmakers in 2019. A large portion of the forums will be dedicated to Blueprint Nebraska, an organization spearheading a statewide economic development initiative. (Learn more about them by visiting Blueprint-Nebraska.org)
All local chamber of commerce members, members of the news media and elected leaders are invited.
